About the Author

I'm a programmer and web entrepreneur who spends more time thinking about keyboard feel than most people spend thinking about their shoes. I got into mechanical keyboards in 2019 — what started as "I just need something better for typing" turned into a full-blown obsession with switches, sound profiles, and modding.

Since then I've built, tested, and torn apart dozens of boards ranging from budget Keychrons to custom gasket-mount kits. I've lubed more switches than I care to count, applied tape mods at 2 AM, and spent entire weekends comparing foam dampening materials so you don't have to.

MechKeyReview exists because I got tired of reviews that read like marketing copy. Every article here is based on hands-on experience — if I say a keyboard sounds thocky, I've actually heard it. If I say a mod is worth it, I've done it myself.
